Meet Louise
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, an anxiety therapist, a military therapist, a perfectionism therapist, and a cognitive behavioral therapist. I am also a mom, a spouse, a daughter, a sister, a small business owner, a veteran, and an Air Force Reservist. When I’m not practicing therapy, you can find me tending my own “hearth” by playing with my family, visiting friends, gardening, cooking, and creating calligraphy.
How I Practice Therapy
I take a human-centered approach to therapy with an existential bent—helping people to discover meaning in their lives.
In the therapeutic space, I cherish humor, kindness, and the desire to learn.
We must discover and try to recognize the limitations, human or systemic, that keep us from achieving our full potential. I believe we are bombarded by messages from society, from our families of origin, and from those around us, that tell us how to live our lives. In reality, you can find your true purpose in living a values-driven life.
If you choose to work with me, you can expect to be lovingly challenged to live authentically!
